Spruce Grove Wedding Photographer | Casie + Branden

This past July I photographed this special couple’s wedding day…and I cannot begin to express how wonderful it was! The little vintage touches to the couple’s adorable son — it was truly a wonderful day despite the rain that attempted to thwart our photos after the ceremony! ;)

The day began at Casie’s parents’ farmhouse (beyond my GPS’s capabilities, I was sure I was lost!) where warm, rich wood and antique stoves made me swoon! The girls had just come from hair & makeup at Time Out Beauty Retreat in Spruce Grove. Casie’s bridesmaids wore short, light blue dresses that complimented the orange tones in the flowers perfectly. The bride gifted them little crystal pendants to wear on the big day, isn’t that sweet? Casie’s beautiful satin, corset-back dress from The Bridal House here in Edmonton fit her perfectly and her black sash added just a little bling!

Casie + Branden’s ceremony was held at Greystone Gardens, just outside of Spruce Grove (towards Devon) and the grounds were beautiful, well-kept and brightly colored. The couple’s family and friends joined them in celebrating their love and it was magical. :)

Immediately following the ceremony it rained (I mean, it poured!) for about an hour. We debated finding an indoor alternative for our photos but stuck it out…and I am so glad we did! The rain finished leaving behind vibrant colors and the sun even made a beautiful appearance while we were shooting on a little bride on Greystone’s property!!

At their reception Casie and Branden provided a candy bar for their guests as well as a fun photo booth. Their cupcakes, from Cake Affair, were super yummy and simply beautiful…and the speeches…*sniff* were so great! Casie’s dad, especially, really got to me. I tell ya, it takes practice to take good photos while crying alligator tears!! ;)
