A few years ago I photographed Jackson’s birth at the Royal Alex in Edmonton and now, he’s a big brother! Here’s a quick slideshow of some of my favorite newborn and family pictures from little Kira Clare’s home/family lifestyle session, with some cameo appearances by her extra cute big bro. <3
Jackie and I went to junior high together, but that’s not what connected us for this session — she and my work wife, Sheri, coached cheer together for ages! Sheri photographed Jackie’s wedding and lots of her family’s pictures over the years but wasn’t going to be able to do baby Jamie’s pictures. I hope I did a good enough job, Jackie, Sheri’s work is wonderful and impossible to live up to! I met Jackie and the family at her in-law’s house for some images in their lovely home, backyard and the lake behind their house. Big sister Brynn is so stinking adorable, and has so much energy! One of my dearest photografriends (yes, that’s a thing) Miranda hired me to photograph a newborn lifestyle session for their hugely anticipated second child, Jade, after he arrived in May of this year. I knew that Mir and Joe were excited for baby J but I truly didn’t know how 4 year old Tristan was reacting to having the new baby at home. You can never really tell with kids when you add another to the brood, they all have their own way of adjusting.
